Work in Progress.

This one-stop list of what to do to commence transition is being built. There is no such list of actions, doctors, specialists or letters needed for the Central Coast region and we are vetting each specialist personally before adding them to this list.

Central Coast NSW LGBTQIA+ TRANSGENDER VIBE GROUP
Coming Soon!

We are working to connect with Service Providers, GP's, Therapists, Endocrinologists and Surgeons on the Central Coast of NSW to create a one-stop-shop for members of the Trans Community. Medical and Therapeutic Care should not be difficult to source, and yet it is. Widespread lack of training within the medical and therapeutic profession makes seeking and receiving care very difficult, and traumatic. We hope to avoid this by providing a list of trusted professionals to assist Trans folks on the Central Coast NSW on their journey.

"Being subject to physical assault and widespread institutional discrimination because of a person’s trans status is also associated with over 60 per cent higher odds of reporting suicide attempts. Nearly a third of transgender people avoid medically necessary care." - Why have nearly half of transgender Australians attempted suicide? | Pursuit by The University of Melbourne (unimelb.edu.au)

SUPPORT THERAPY SUCCESS

Transgender Individuals are more likely to transition in a safe, healthy and happy way, if they feel truly supported. Therapy helps to relieve the negative effects of Dysphoria, Dysmorphia, Depression, Anxiety and any other negative side effects of the often harrowing journey to becoming truly whole.

Support therapy is offered to Trans persons, as well as to their families and friends. The experience of transitioning can be a good one. Chat with us today about your options.

FREE HYPNOSIS VIDEOS

We have free Self-Guided Sleep Hypnosis videos available on our youtube channel. We are adding LGBTQIA+ Specific videos soon. If you have a specific need, and feel that other Trans persons would benefit from it, please let us know and we will create one and add it to the collection.

This Anxiety Reduction Self-Guided Sleep Hypnosis is a great place to start!

EVENTS

Let us know of any up coming events, marches, markets, parties or festivals that serve the LGBTQIA+ Community and we'll post them here!

LGBTIQ+ Health Australia

LGBTIQ+ Health Australia and the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) are developing training, peer support and mentoring activities for LGBTIQ+ people with disability over the age of 18 years.
The online training aims to increase knowledge and skills in advocacy and storytelling. This will include workshops, videos, animations, and other resources. The training has been developed by and for all LGBTIQ+ people with disability, including the voices of First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse people.
We want to let you know about upcoming workshops and the launch of online content in July 2022. All the training and online content will be free. You can choose how much of the training you want to take part in and can work at your own pace.
